About the event

Frædag: STERAC + Karolinski (live - LP release) + g-HA & Olanskii + Øyvind Morken
Sterac | g-HA & Olanskii | Øyvind Morken | Karolinski (live – LP release)

It’s Detroit via the Netherlands up to Norway, with Sterac. A stalwart and truly uncompromising figure, Steve Rachmad aka Sterac has kept Techno raw and formidable all these years and he continues to release records that uphold that original spirit of the genre. Frædag’s g-HA & Olanskii join the DJ from the backyard as Oslo’s own stalwarts, bringing the Techno legend back for a long awaited return to Jaeger. They’re accompanied by Karolinski, who brings a new LP and live show via Full Pupp before Sterac.

Sterac

Since his earliest days in the scene, Amsterdam’s electronic music pioneer Steve Rachmad has created a legion of monikers to cover the variety and broadness of his compositions. Black Scorpion, Tons of Tones, Rachmad Project, Scorp, Parallel 9, Ignacio, Dreg, Sterac Electronics; they all represent a different facet of Rachmad’s music.

One of the main creatures living on Planet Rachmad has always been STERAC, a side of Steve’s musical personality that’s not easily described. Let’s say that where other aliases are used for excursions to more dub-, disco-, or house- oriented records, STERAC’s focus has always been on the no-nonsense, darker, and deeper side of techno.

The STERAC discography consists of signature cuts, spread out over genre-defining labels such as M-Plant, Tresor, Klockworks, Afterlife, Mote Evolver, Indigo Aera and Delsin. Over the years it’s been reinterpreted, remixed, and reworked by peers such as Ricardo Villalobos, Vince Watson and Marc Romboy.

His effort and independent attitude have made STERAC a regular on many a stage. From his hometown’s Awakenings, to Berghain in Berlin, Movement festival in Detroit, Fabric London, Loft Barcelona, D-Edge in Sao Paulo, and more.

Karolinski

After three years in the making, Karolinski presents her first fully sample-based album — a raw, textured blend of 90s UK drum & bass, hip hop, and subtle touches of trance. The result is a deep, personal journey through rhythm and memory, built from fragments of sound that echo her musical roots.

The creative process began in early 2022, shortly after Karolinski moved back to Bergen. Working entirely solo, she crafted each track without outside collaboration — a conscious choice that allowed full focus and introspection.

Originally planned for release earlier, the project was put on hold during the pandemic. “I learned that releasing an album while time stood still didn’t make much sense,” Karolinski says. “Now, there’s movement again — the world feels more alive — and with that comes new energy and possibility.”

This album marks a new chapter: introspective yet rhythm-driven, nostalgic yet forward-facing. It’s a sonic statement shaped by time, place, and solitude — and one that invites listeners into Karolinski’s evolving soundscape.

g-HA & Olanskii

Two pivotal bodies in the sphere of Norwegian electronic music, g-HA & Olanskii are an event, a club, a DJ duo, and a musical authority for Norway. Individually adept as DJ, selectors and tastemaker, Ola “Olanskii” Smith-Simonsen and Geir “g-HA” Holger’s musical voices unified for Sunkissed, an events series that has become the backbone of Oslo’s electronic music scene and beyond.

Øyvind Morken

Oslo`s Øyvind Morken (pronounced Oy-vind) has a unique ability to play everything from A to Z of what genres concern. Working the dance floor in the most unexpected ways. For the last nine years he has held down a residency at Jaeger. Eight of them weekly under the Untzdag banner, a wordplay for Onsdag, Norwegian for Wednesday. It became an institution in Oslo. Drawing in a crowd of open-minded party freaks for nights of wild abandon, and where musical diversity and self-expression was encouraged.
