Food Pop-Up: Nyam Jamaican Food / Fuglen Oslo Sentrum

We are excited to welcome Nyam for a Jamaican food pop-up here at Fuglen!

Nyam was born from a passion for Jamaican cooking and a heartfelt desire to share the warmth of island culture with the people of Oslo. Founded by Jamari Giovanni Furrs, a talented chef born in Jamaica and raised in London, Nyam is the product of a journey that began in some of London’s most esteemed kitchens — from five-star hotels to private members’ clubs and eclectic fusion restaurants. After relocating to Oslo, Jamari quickly noticed a lack of authentic Jamaican cuisine. What began as a way to satisfy his own cravings and share home-cooked meals with friends soon evolved into something more: a movement to bring the heart of Jamaica to Scandinavia. Inspired by Jamaica’s national motto, “Out of Many, One People,” Nyam reflects the richness of Jamaican culture and the power of food to unite communities.
