Vi er stolte over å invitere til åpning av utstillingen “Shortness of Breath and Other Shortcomings” på Unge Kunstneres Samfund (UKS) torsdag den 16 oktober kl. 17.00.
“Shortness of Breath and Other Shortcomings” undersøker de fysiske og psykiske konsekvensene av å leve i vår samtid. Utfordringer, ansvar, bekymringer, forventninger, normer. Gjennom arbeidene til fire ulike kunstnere utforsker utstillingen den pågående dialogen mellom kroppen og sinnet.
Utstillingen er resultatet av en open call fra masterstudenter i kunsthistorie fra UiO, i samarbeid med UKS som henvendte seg til kunststudenter i Oslo. Kunstnerne som stiller ut er Fredrik Beijer, Helene Skuterud, Selma Trebler Astrup Wold og Smriti Bharti.

We are proud to invite you to the opening of the exhibition «Shortness of Breath and Other Shortcomings» at Young Artists Society (UKS) Thursday October 16th at 17.00.
“Shortness of Breath and Other Shortcomings” contemplates the implications of living in the modern world. Challenges, responsibilities, anxieties, expectations, norms. Through the work of four different artists, the exhibition explores the two-way street between the body and mind.
The exhibition is the culmination of an open call from MA students in art history at UiO in collaboration with UKS addressed to art students of Oslo. The exhibiting artists are Fredrik Beijer, Helene Skuterud, Selma Trebler Astrup Wold and Smriti Bharti
