Earlier this year, Det Gode Selskab traded Oslo's winter frost for the warm and tropical Zanzibar, joining forces with Why?Not Club for a week-long musical escape. Now, we're bringing the island vibes back home for a special showcase at Jaeger.
Entering their third year, Why?Not have quickly become a fixture on Zanzibar’s east coast. The purpose-built club with a bespoke TSI sound system and a rooftop with 360-degree views sets the stage. With residents sharing decks with international crews like SlapFunk, Yoyaku and Det Gode Selskab, Why?Not have turned the beach paradise, 420‑capacity space into a beacon for global house and techno.
Welcoming Why?Not resident Sofiane Vial, whose sonic approach fuses house music's pure essence with a refined minimal aesthetic. His roots in the French underground scene, combined with extensive international exposure, have solidified Sofiane's reputation for creating dynamic sets defined by precise rhythms and effortless class. With an ear finely tuned to grooves that transcend borders, Sofiane embodies the vibrant spirit and vision of Why?Not.
