Sign up now for the Applied Technology Summer Camp, running from 8:00 a.m. to noon, Monday, June 16, 2025, to Wednesday, June 18, 2025, and from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025! This four-day camp offers an interactive, hands-on experience where students explore applied technology through problem-solving, design, and project-based learning. Participants will engage in activities such as Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), plastic injection molding, woodworking, electronics and soldering, and engineering design.
Registration is limited to 20 participants ages 12 to 14, and the cost is $150 per student. The deadline to register is Sunday, June 8, 2025.
Camp Schedule:
Monday
7:30-8:00 a.m. – Check-in at Musco Technology Center (MTC)
Introduction to Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD)
Begin CO2 Dragster Design
Tuesday
Manufacturing Safety Training
CO2 Dragster Prototyping
Wednesday
CO2 Dragster Manufacturing
Thursday
Finalizing CO2 Dragsters
Additional project completion time from 12:00-4:00 p.m.
Judging: 5:00-6:00 p.m.
CO2 Dragster Competition & Award Ceremony: 6:00-8:00 p.m. (Penn Activity Center - PAC)
Students may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 12:30 p.m.
Each participant will receive a WPU t-shirt and take home all the projects they create during the camp.
