The public is invited to participate in an in-person public meeting to learn more about plans to replace or rehabilitate 20 bridges in Bates, Benton, Cedar, Henry, Hickory, St. Clair, and Vernon counties.
The open-house style in-person meeting will be held 4:30-6 p.m., Tuesday, July 8 at Osceola Elementary School, 76 Southeast Highway WW, #Osceola.
A virtual (online) meeting also will be available Tuesday, July 1 through Tuesday, July 22, and can be accessed at www.modot.org/southwest.
The project, known as the Kaysinger Basin Bridge Bundle, is a $38 million design-build project that will replace or rehabilitate 20 bridges in the seven counties listed above. A design-build project encourages innovation to rehabilitate or replace the most bridges in the most cost-effective way through a competitive process.
At this meeting, participants will learn about the bridges planned for improvements during 2025, the anticipated construction and traffic impacts at each bridge and a broad overview of the current schedule for the entire project.
