Blacksmithing for Kids (11-15): Make a Tomahawk

With an adult you will learn some of basics of Blacksmithing through two projects: make a j hook and make a tomahawk from a claw hammer. Learn safety, materials, and equipment as well as the heating, cutting, shaping, punching, and drifting of metal. You need leather footwear, leather gloves and natural fiber clothing. You need safety eyeglasses with side shields, ear plugs, and a hammer. Bring a bag lunch both days. Cost: $195 Call to register: 207-205-4849.
