The University of Maine Cooperative Extension in a partnership with the Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions is hosting a 2-Day Cattle Artificial Insemination Training at the University of Maine Campus in Orono, May 1-2, 2025.
Join the University of Maine Team and special instructor, Mr. Scott Jensen from Idaho, in learning the basics of Artificial Insemination in cattle. Course will cover male and female reproductive anatomy/physiology, semen handling, liquid nitrogen tank basics, heat detection and synchronization, AI technique, basics of palpation, and hands-on learning with our sophisticated Bovine Breeder AI Simulator and reproductive tracts. Our instructors will guide you through everything you need to know to get started in cattle Artificial Insemination.
