Montreal born-and-raised, Frisco Lee is a multi-instrumentalist singersongwriter who’s been anchored in the underground music scene for over a decade and a half. Anglophone-francophone, hailing from the suburbs and armed with a Blues background, he began playing the bar circuits in 2013, and for the following decade, has made a name for himself as a musician for hire in many various live and studio projects – more recently associated with Sud-Ouest Recording Service and BabyHorse Records. Over time, he’s been cultivating a widely-varied collection of self-penned songs in the style of old Blues, Country, Folk and Jazz, striking a contemporary chord with Indie and Psychedelic stylings, and passionate about creating timeless sounds and pertinent poetry.
Erik Fines is a Montreal-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose original music takes from a wide variety of musical genres, including indie-rock, country, folk, as well as rhythm and blues and electronic music. Born in Peterborough, Ontario, Erik’s parents were both very involved in the local arts community; his father is a well known multi-instrumentalist and his mother a bar tender/booker at popular local bars/venues and through this he became involved in the local arts scene at an early age. Having played in many bands in his early days in Peterborough, Erik eventually moved to Montreal where he fronted the well-loved indie-rock formation, Bright Fuchsia. He eventually found himself deeply integrated into Montreal’s Sud-Ouest indie/folk/songwriter scene and stayed busy playing various instruments in bands with the likes of Frisco Lee, Clerel Djamen, Bud Rice, Jesse Stone, the Maybe Greys, and many others as well as becoming the host of the popular Bar De Courcelle Open Mic, a staple in the local community, for almost two years up until the pandemic came and brought everything to a screeching halt. With the new found time and space, and a vast catalogue of songs he’d written and accumulated over the years, as well as many new songs, Erik Fines is launching a solo career.
