Transition Days – Thursday 3rd & Friday 4th July (Wednesday 9th July for Aughton Town Green)
Your child is warmly invited to Ormskirk School for two induction days to meet classmates, staff and enjoy some sample lessons.
Pupils should:
1. Wear primary school uniform.
2. Bring packed lunch and water (free school meals provided where applicable).
3. Bring trainers (no PE kit needed), and basic equipment – pen, pencil, ruler.
4. Arrive between 9:15–9:30am; finish at 2:30pm.
We will also share this information with your child’s current Headteacher.
In the next few weeks, we are conducting transition visits to our feeder primary schools, this is an opportunity for us to meet our new Year 7s and for them to ask us any questions.
Transition Evening – Thursday 3rd July at 5:00pm
Parents and carers are invited to an evening meeting in the school hall. You’ll hear from senior staff and meet the Year 7 team.
If you’d like a follow-up meeting with the Head of Year or SENDCO, we’d be happy to arrange this.
Please note that due to our Year 11 prom, we will be using the pupil entrance for this meeting. Parking is available in the main carpark at the front of school.
Summer School – Monday 18th & Tuesday 19th August
Thanks to support from the Endeavour Learning Trust, all incoming Year 7s are invited to attend a free, fun- packed summer school focused on building confidence, friendships and familiarity with Ormskirk School.
• Dates: 18 & 19 August, 10:00am – 3:00pm
• Free of charge
• Bring packed lunch, drink, sun protection
• Wear casual clothes and trainers
