Explore Martin Mere with Galloways – Friday 18th July
A day of nature, discovery, and accessible experiences and it’s free to attend!
Join Galloways for a special trip to the beautiful Martin Mere Wetland Centre – part of our shared mission to make days out more accessible for blind and partially sighted people.
Transport details:
We’ll be travelling from Penwortham, with a pick-up at Preston Bus and Train Station.
Pick-up time is likely to be 9:30 AM, but we’ll confirm this with everyone closer to the date.
Why this trip is special:
We’re working with Martin Mere to improve accessibility for people with sight loss, and they’re keen to gather feedback.
As a thank you, entry is completely free for participants who are happy to share their thoughts.
On the day you can enjoy:
• Relaxing nature walks
• Opportunities to see and hear wetland wildlife
• A gentle boat ride through the reedbeds
• A specially designed audio described tour in the Visitor Centre
You’re welcome to bring a packed lunch or treat yourself at the café.
Galloways kindly suggests a £3 donation towards transport costs to help support future trips.
Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out – get in touch with us to reserve your place by calling Galloways on 01772 744 148.
Let’s enjoy nature together and help shape a more inclusive world!
