Children's Musical Theatre Workshop, celebrating their 43rd year presents their Spring 2025 shows. CMT Workshop is committed to creating theatre education for aspiring young actors ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade, while providing an opportunity for them to grow as performers as well as becoming responsible team players within a wholesome, family oriented structure. Each ticket is good for one performance date/time of the 2-show set, assigned seating ticketing through the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center Box Office and all tickets are non-refundable. "At The Bandstand" will be performed first (35 minutes) then a 30-minute intermission followed by the performance of "Kilroy Was Here".
"At The Bandstand!": A Rockin' '50s Musical Extravaganza
Step into the vibrant world of '50s entertainment with "At The Bandstand!" This high-energy musical centers around Cindy and her spirited friends, who leap at the chance to join the famed Bandstand Kids on Rockin' Robin's hit TV show. But to secure their spot, Cindy must outshine the privileged daughter of the show's sponsor in an on-air dance-off. Filled with familiar '50s tunes and infectious energy, this easy-to-stage musical is an absolute blast! Audiences will be treated to iconic songs like "At the Bandstand," "Rockin' Robin," "Save the Last Dance for Me," "Johnny Angel," "Sh-Boom," "Splish Splash," "Shake, Rattle and Roll," and "Great Balls of Fire."

KILROY WAS HERE IS A PATRIO COMEDY SALUTING THE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN SERVING IN THE MILITARY. WE GUARANTEE THERE WON'T BE A DRY EYE IN THE HOUSE AFTER THE STIRRING 'TOGETHER WE MUST STAND' AND A TRIBUTE TO ALL BRANCHES OF THE MILITARY. STILL, KILROY IS A COMEDY AND THE SETTING IS A U.S.O. CLUB ('THE SERVICEMAN'S 'HOME AWAY FROM HOME'') IN BROOKLYN IN 1942. SHIPS LEAVING THE NEARBY NAVY YARD ARE BEING SUNK BY ENEMY U-BOATS. ALLIED INTELLIGENCE SUSPECTS THE CLUB IS UNKNOWINGLY HARBORING AXIS SPIES. ENTER PRIVATE JOE KILROY, A YOUNG SOLDIER WHO DRAWS A CURIOUS CARTOON FACE EVERYWHERE HE GOES (AND IS THIS CAUSING TROUBLE!). HE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS WHERE THE NEXT ALLIED CONVOY WILL CONVERGE. THE ENEMY AGENTS ARE STOPPING AT NOTHING TO LEARN HIS SECRET. The action builds to an exciting finale during a wild radio broadcast. The score includes such hits as 'Don't Say No To The U.S.O.,' 'Slap That Jukebox,' 'Jitterbug Saturday Night,' and 'Rat-a-tat-tat That Rivet,' with classic Andrews Sisters style harmony.
