the Kraken Lives! Make a Silver Octopus Pendant 3-Week Class

Dive into creativity in this hands-on workshop! You’ll design and sculpt your own whimsical octopus pendant using fine silver precious metal clay, giving it lifelike tentacles and intricate textures. For a dazzling focal point, you’ll set a shimmering dichroic glass cabochon as the octopus’s head. Learn essential metal clay techniques—shaping, detailing, refining, firing, and finishing—while creating a unique ocean-inspired treasure in pure silver. Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind pendant ready to wear or gift.

This is a 3-week class, please make sure you are available for all sessions so you can complete your octopus. No make-up time is available.

The pendant will require 35-50 grams of metal clay. Included in the fee is a 50 gram package of Art Clay Silver, retail value $145.51. Also included is a handmade dichroic glass cabochon. You will also be provided with a toolkit for your use during the workshop.

FAVO - Faith Arts Village Orlando - is located at 718 Highland Ave. To enter the facility, turn north on Highland from Colonial at the stoplight, and enter the second driveway on the left, through a black fence. You will see a sign that says "Park Lake Presbyterian Church, FAVO Art Studios". Proceed through the parking lot to the far right and rear and on through the driveway connecting to a second parking lot. You will see an L-shaped building with colorful doors - that's us! I am studio 237, second from the end upstairs on the right. Look for the moons!
