Unleash your inner artist in this dynamic workshop where you’ll create a stunning 4″x4″ smalti flower mosaic with a beautifully tinted thinset background. Designed for both beginners and experienced mosaic artists, this intensive session is packed with valuable tips and tricks, leveraging specialty tools and materials to ensure a “Mighty” learning experience. You’ll gain a wealth of knowledge, from mastering smalti and filati to create captivating dimension, to expertly shaping smalti using nippers, hammer and hardie, and a grinder. Plus, you’ll discover the magic of Laticrete Platinum 254 thinset, a true game-changer for mosaic artists.
This hands-on workshop kicks off with an exploration of materials and tools, followed by the exciting planning stages of your flower mosaic. With a diverse array of gorgeous supplies and personalized guidance from the instructor, you’ll design and execute your unique piece with confidence. A live demonstration of hammer and hardie techniques, focusing on smalti A and B cuts, will offer a rare opportunity to experiment with various tools.
