About the event

History Alive: Our Natural Environment
From arid plains to swampy wetlands, Central Florida’s natural environment has seen many changes. Dig into Florida’s natural history with guided museum tours and family-friendly activities, including:

Archeological Dig Puzzle – Learn about items important to Indigenous communities such as arrowheads, pots, and more as you dig through the sand pit and put the pieces together.

Cypress Circles – Cypress trees provide shelter for animals and protect our coasts. Unlock the mystery of how to tell a cypress tree’s age, using real slices of tree trunks.

Florida Plant & Animal Matching Game – Panthers, alligators, and manatees, oh my! Play this game to learn about Central Florida’s native animals while earning prizes.

Guided museum tours: 10:30 a.m., Noon, 1:45 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
