Join us to explore the magic of herb container gardening and its role in fostering holistic health and environmental sustainability. In this class, you’ll learn how growing herbs in small spaces can enhance well-being, support local ecosystems, and deepen your connection to nature. Through live demonstrations and engaging discussions, we’ll cover practical tips for cultivating herbs in small spaces. This introductory class is perfect for beginners or seasoned gardeners, as we will delve into basics of herb gardening, assessing your own home environment, choosing the best set up for you, and herbs that grow well in Central Florida. We will touch on various containers and explore the possibility of hydroponic gardening. This introductory class offers valuable insights and inspiration for bringing nature’s healing essence into your everyday life.
Participants will plant a seed in their own mini container to reminds us to slow down, nurture growth, and connect with nature.
**All supplies and ingredients will be provided for the workshop.
Everyday Herbals will provide an herbal craft market at the end of class to purchase handcrafted herbal remedies for common ailments. Payment can be taken via Venmo, Zelle, or cash.
Registration includes admission to the beautiful gardens before or after class.
Lauren Tanner Tanner MSN, RN, AHN-BC, OCN is an Advanced Holistic Nurse, Herbalist, and Health & Wellness Coach with 10 years of experience in the healthcare system. She is originally from Orlando, FL, where she started her nursing career and then transitioned to travel nursing for 7 years. During her travel nursing experiences, she worked with oncology and chronic illness populations in a variety of settings. Desiring more education on holistic healthcare practices, she pursued further education in advanced holistic nursing and herbalism. During that time, she developed a view of health as one of healing the mind, body, and spirit and that nature is a valuable tool for connection and healing. She has a warm, personal, and grounded approach to helping people understand their unique wellness goals and the necessity for individualized integrative health practices. Her passion is studying plants and immersing herself in nature and her home gardens. Lauren is committed to providing holistic health and herbal education and creating experiences that provide relaxation, clarity, and self-awareness to help people make informed decisions that align best with their individual wellness.

Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
