Hosted by the Orange County Democratic Environmental Caucus
Join us for an evening of good beer and bold climate conversations at Drink Beer, Talk Climate, where we’ll be joined by the team from O-Town Compost — Central Florida’s leader in community-powered composting.
At this month’s event, we’ll dive into the real environmental impact of food waste and explore how local composting can reduce landfill emissions, support local agriculture, and help build a more sustainable food system in Florida.
What to expect:
A short presentation from O-Town Compost
A fun, interactive compost trivia challenge to test your knowledge
Opportunities to connect with others passionate about climate action
A chance to learn how easy it is to start composting in your own home or neighborhood
Why it matters:
Every week, nearly half of our household waste could be composted instead of dumped in landfills, where it releases methane and accelerates climate change. O-Town Compost is working to change that — and they make it easy, clean, and community-focused.
This event is free and open to all. Drinks available for purchase.
