About this Event

Bromeliads for Beginners

Saturday, March 7, 2026

1:30 PM - 3:00 PM

Instructors: John Boardman and Pam Marion

Students will learn how to identify each common group of Bromeliads, how to separate them, and the best soil and pine bark mixture for planting in pots. The class will also cover techniques for mounting to wood, planting in the ground, and for keeping newly planted Bromeliads upright. The Instructors will demonstrate soil mixture, pup separation and discuss proper pest control and care.

Bromeliads are adaptive to most landscape conditions in Florida. They reflect the history of our community by thriving over time and require very little maintenance.

Attendees will leave with the ability to navigate any Plant Sale with confidence!

Students will receive their own potted Neoregelia 'Maria' from the stunning Leu Gardens tree.

John and Pam will also provide a Market for exotic varieties and various species. Cash Only
