2nd Annual Chess Angels Memorial Tournament

We invite the entire Central Florida chess community to come together for the 2nd Annual Chess Angels Memorial Tournament. This event is a great opportunity for us to remember the teachers, coaches, and loved ones that instilled in us a love for the Royal Game.

Lunch will be provided, and there will be trophies and cash prizes for the finishers in all three sections.

Established in 2024, the first Chess Angels Tournament was held in honor of Connor Hannah and FM Alex Zelner. And as we carry the tradition forward, we invite all participants to bring a picture of those chess players they want to honor and remember so we may pay tribute to all members of our community we've lost. Before the first round, Candidate Master Phil Durand will give a talk on some of the great games of Connor and Alex. There will be a brief remembrance ceremony at the end of the event.
