Are you a PIGGY and have some stained clothes in your drawer? This is the perfect class to fix that.
Ice Dyeing is a technique using ice to create some really fun designs!
On the first day we will prepare our fabric for dyeing and then we will start the ice dyeing process. I will have different ideas on how to fold, bind, twist and clip your fabric for different designs. Choose from over 20 different colors. Once done creating your project it will need to sit for 24 hours so you will need to come back the following day at 12:00 to finish your piece. This is when the hard work comes in. You will need to rinse, rinse, rinse then rinse some more. Then wash, then rinse again and then we will take a break and let your fabric sit in a retain to set your dyes and then rinse again!!!
The class fee allows you to dye 3 pieces total. You will need to dropped off your items at least 2 hours before class so I can wash them in textile soap. If you have this at home you can do this yourself. Cotton material does great with this process. I picked up my t-shirts from Michaels, Target, Kohls or even my own closet.
You will need to bring a dust mask for when you dye your fabric. I will have gloves available but if you want to bring your own you can. Wear junk clothing as you may get dye on yourself.
Note: This is a two day class!! July 19th & July 20th. Rinse day may take a little longer.
Class fee is $32.00
