Poet Laureate Workshop

Meet and write with Alison Pelegrin, Poet Laureate of Louisiana. This presentation is part of the Lifelines Poetry Project. Participants will read, discuss, and write poems using the same prompts that Louisiana Poet Laureate Alison Pelegrin has used with incarcerated writers as part of her Lifelines Poetry Project initiative during which she has led poetry workshops in Louisiana prisons and communities to emphasize our shared humanity. Refreshments will be served.

Funding for this Louisiana Poet Laureate program has been provided by the State of Louisiana and administered by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. The Lifelines Poetry Project is also made possible through a grant from The Foundation for Louisiana and funding from the Mellon Foundation.
