Modern Data Analytics in Excel: Getting Started

This session provides a basic introduction to my book *Modern Data Analytics in Excel*, designed to help you get the most out of the material. We'll cover a general overview of the tools used throughout the book, show you how to find them in Excel*, and walk through some hands-on data analysis and exploration.

You don't need to have read the book to participate. This session will prepare you to dive into the book afterward.

• A recording will be made available after the event.
• Download files will be shared at the time of the event.

• Build a complete extract, transform, and load (ETL) workflow using Power Query
• Create a relational data model with Power Pivot
• Generate AI-powered insights with Analyze Data

Typical job titles might include:

• Data analysts

• Controllers
• Operations analysts

• To make the most of the workshop, you will have some experience in Excel topics such as conditional logic with IF()/IFS()/SUMIFS(), etc., lookup functions like VLOOKUP() or XLOOKUP(), and summarizing/aggregating data with PivotTables.
• * It is recommended that you attend this workshop on a PC with Excel for Microsoft 365 on desktop. I’ll do my best to assist and troubleshoot if you encounter any issues or don’t see a feature working on your version, but please note that there are limitations to how much I can help during a live session.
• No other preparation is needed.
