Writers Workshop: Working Through the Dirty First Draft (Downtown Branch)

Don’t we all have drafts of potential ready to be developed? Ideations and dreams in the vault waiting to be actualized? Let’s do it together.

In this playwriting workshop led by Nebraska Writers Collective Teaching Artist, Allana Pommier, we will embrace the messy, raw, and necessary first drafts of our mind’s art. We’ll commit to finishing what we start — creating something new while breathing fresh air into what has been set aside. We’ll endeavor together to finish what we want to start and share the fruits of our creation. No more time for waiting — let’s get into it!

About the Author:

Allana G. Pommier is an evolving piece of work, fueled by the world around her and impassioned with what it means to push humans forward. The rich, enduring nuances of Black womanhood inspire her writing, serving as a purposeful force in the pursuit of liberation for those long denied it. She is a GPTC Commoners Fellow in playwriting and an active member of Omaha’s creative community.
