Hi, First UU Pride Parade participants!
We have our Rally Point:
On 16th Street between Mike Fahey Street and California Street facing south. We are group J 13.
The parade kicks off at 9:30 am sharp on Saturday, July 12 — rain or shine.
We are not one of the first groups to go, so I recommend being at our Rally Point at 10 am. Last year we didn't move out until nearly 11 am.
On the morning of the parade, volunteers in Jeep vehicles will be stationed at each intersection along 16th Street. If you need help finding your spot, don’t hesitate to ask someone in a Jeep!
Parking is first come, first served. We suggest parking near the CHI Health Center. Roads will be closing along the route starting at 8 am, so getting to CHI parking will take some planning.
On the day of the event, please call 911 in case of emergencies. We’re grateful to once again have Elite Tactical, LLC providing security alongside the Omaha Police Department. Parasol Patrol will also be present to help shield participants from protesters or any negative messaging.
Weather will be low 80s and partly cloudy. Wear a hat, sunscreen, and cool clothing.
