Jackie Allen & Susie Thorne present How I Became a Jazz Singer! — Ticketed Event​

Critically acclaimed vocalists and recording artists Jackie Allen (Lincoln) and Susie Thorne (Omaha) celebrate their musical journeys in How I Became a Jazz Singer, with songs and stories about how these two Nebraska women were drawn into an unlikely life in jazz. Both have toured internationally across Europe, Asia, and beyond.

Backed by top-notch musicians Jeff Jenkins (piano), Hans Sturm (acoustic bass), and Joey Gulizia (drums/percussion), hear their unique takes on pop classics, movie musicals, and the ever-popular American Songbook, spanning the 1930s to the 1970s. With Allen and Thorne’s easy rapport, humor, and poignancy, they share pivotal moments from their 40+ year careers and may even inspire you to sing along, clap your hands, and tap your toes!
