Join us for a multicultural potluck in celebration of Welcoming Week.
We are cooking up an afternoon of flavor, culture, and community at the No More Empty Pots Greenhouse at the Highlander. Explore cultural food samples hosted by local chefs and home cooks! Each table will showcase unique bites that celebrate diverse food traditions. The cooks and cuisines represented will include Latin American, Indigenous, and Afro-Inspired cuisine.
Cooks TBA!
As you taste, take part in community conversation! Discussion cards will be posted throughout the room — in multiple languages — to spark ideas and dialogue around food, culture, and connection.
Members of the Community Education team will be talking to guests and collecting feedback! Let us know what culinary experiences you would love to see in the future. Come hungry, curious, and ready to connect!
About Welcoming Week
Welcoming Week is an annual campaign and celebration to showcase the movement of communities striving to be more welcoming places for all, including immigrants. Launched in 2012 by Welcoming America and its members, Welcoming Week provides individuals and communities the opportunity to proclaim welcoming values through events and local initiatives that foster mutual understanding between immigrants and non-immigrants, as well as deeper belonging for all.
