BioDiscovery Lab: Making Microbes

In this immersive workshop, you’ll collaborate with living microbes—the same tiny organisms that make kombucha—to grow your own unique biomaterial at home. This workshop is part of the BioDiscovery Lab series from Kiewit Luminarium and Metropolitan Community College. These hands-on workshops explore the exciting world of biotechnology. Biotechnology uses living organisms to create products that benefit health, agriculture, and the environment. Blending biology, design, and technology, this activity sparks curiosity and creativity in STEM.
