Day 1: Youth Conservation Summit
Youth Solutions for a Sustainable Future
Thursday, October 23rd, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm
A day dedicated to empowering young leaders and students through hands-on activities, training, and inspiration to take action. We'll spotlight local initiatives driving innovation in green technology, sustainability, and creative solutions to our state’s most pressing environmental challenges. This summit is intended for high school and college students.
Sessions include:
- Sustainability Within Schools
- An Environmental Professions Career Panel
- Youth Advocacy Workshop
- Designing Green Infrastructure
- Green Technology Innovation
Day 2: Conservation Summit
Building Common Ground – Shared Pathways for Climate Resilience
Friday, October 24th, 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Our main public summit will feature breakout sessions, networking opportunities, and solution-focused dialogue, covering topics from clean energy to community resilience. By bringing together a wide range of voices, we’ll explore how collective action can create lasting change.
Afternoon sessions include:
- Omaha’s Master Plan
- Waste Management
- Water Quality in Nebraska
- Grassroots Organizing
- Energy Generation in Omaha
Evening session includes a networking reception and an evening keynote.
