In three weeks, Save the Date: Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. for Olympia Camera Club’s **Creative In-Camera Effects **“in-person, hands-on, try-something-new, play-along, workshop.”
The workshop will be held at the Black Lake Grange, 6011 Black Lake Blvd SW, Olympia, WA 98512, and it is free for current members. **Non-members are welcome to attend by joining the club for $26 per year.**
Maybe you have read or heard about some of these techniques, but haven’t tried them. Now is your chance to play around with your camera and try something different.
The Creative In-Camera workshop will include an introduction slide, then six stations, including: Vaseline/petroleum jelly on a filter, Shooting through glass/water/refractive objects (wine glass, water droplets, glassware, tank, lens ball “crystal ball”, Prism/crystals/fractal filters, DIY plastic, colored plastic/gels/plastic wrap/textured plastic.
