Info: Sustainable living with your art. For many artists, this is the most difficult part of being a working artist. This session introduces four panelists who have all turned their art into a successful business.
Info: (Part 1: Public Art Manager’s Perspective) How do you go about getting a public art project? It can be a complex journey, starting with where to look. How to apply? What is RFP? RFQ? RFQQ!! How do I answer all these questions? If you have ever looked into applying for a public art project and thought it was too difficult and choose not to apply, you are not alone. We understand it can be daunting, but the rewards for landing a public art project are many. This two-part session will present both sides of a public art project, Part 1 from the public art manager’s perspective, and the Part 2 from the artist’s perspective. The panel will try to demystify the process and break down the how-to of applying for and landing public art projects.
