🌲 Leave No Trace Instructor 1 Course – October 11–12, 2025

Join us for an immersive weekend of outdoor ethics, conservation education, and leadership development at Camp Thunderbird! This 30-hour Leave No Trace (LNT) Instructor Course is your opportunity to deepen your skills and become an environmental steward in your Scouting community.

Saturday, October 11 at 8:00 AM – Sunday, October 12 at 1:00 PM
📍 Camp Thunderbird
Who Should Attend:
• Adults (18+) – Complete the Level 1 Instructor Course to become certified to teach Leave No Trace to Scout units
• Youth (14–17) – Participate in the Skills Course to enhance your role as an LNT Troop Guide
🌿 What You’ll Learn:
✔️ How to minimize your environmental impact during outdoor adventures
✔️ How to teach LNT principles to others and promote Scouting’s Outdoor Ethics
✔️ Practical skills—from digging a proper cat hole to planning low-impact outings
✔️ How to train others in earning the Outdoor Awareness Award
🧭 Why It Matters:
You’ll not only gain hands-on experience—you’ll leave ready to lead. Certified trainers can assist in future courses and strengthen Scouting’s conservation mission across our council and beyond.
