Forest and Clump Maple Workshop

Maples are some of the most dynamic bonsai trees, changing dramatically throughout the seasons. Fast growers, maples are excellent for bonsai.

$40 for workshop participants

$10 to silently observe

Starts at 10am on Saturday March 14th with a talk and demo about Japanese maples from Keith Maxwell and Kenneth Reister (45 to 60 minutes)
Following the demo and lasting until 1pm, participants will receive guided help making their own Japanese maple forests or clump-style trees. They can also help with thread grafting. Keith and Kenneth will provide up to 9 small Japanese maple trees (pictured at the bottom). Additional trees may be purchased from Keith and Kenneth. The club will provide wire and soil.

Participants are welcome to stay as late as 4pm to continue work on their trees (Kenneth and Keith may or may not be available after 1pm)
