Ira May – Sa., 5. Juli 2025 – R’n’B/Pop/Soul aus Basel
Ira May ist eine 37-jährige Schweizerin, die schon früh eine Affinität zur Musik, im Speziellen zum Soul, entwickelte und mit sieben Jahren in den Klavierunterricht wollte. Später kamen Gesangsstunden dazu. Im Schülerchor sang sie u.a. mit Baschi und Sarah-Jane.
Nach einigen Jahren veröffentlichte sie ihr erstes Soloalbum «The Spell», das direkt auf Platz 1 der Schweizer Albumcharts landete. 2016 folgte der Zweitling auf Platz 7. Diese Erfolge verschafften ihr Konzerte im In- und Ausland, auch als Support-Act von Alicia Keys, Jamie Cullum, Anastacia und Nick Waterhouse. hinauszutragen.
