Wednesday Walking thru His Word

We will begin our time together sharing our struggles and our victories from the past week and praying for one another. We will then transition to praying for Holy Spirit to guide us into the truth of God's Word (John 16:13) as we abide in His Word (John 8:31-32) and begin walking through the scriptures verse by verse and discussing a few verses at a time together. Hopefully, we will be able to cover a chapter per night, but our emphasis will be on the quality of our time in His Word, not the quantity, seeking to answer each other's questions about God's Word (to the best of our limited human understanding) before moving onward. This time will be geared towards Christians who are newer to or younger in their faith to allow them to ask and explore questions that Christians who are more mature in their faith and understanding of Scripture (which has nothing to do with their age) have already worked out for themselves. This study will be facilitated by Tyson Heins. We will begin in the Gospel of John and follow the following sequence on our walk:

Matthew (28)
Luke (24)
Acts of the Apostles (28)
To facilitate intimacy, this study will NOT be streamed but may be recorded (depending on group consensus) and made privately available ONLY to those within this participating group so that they can catch up if they have to miss a Wednesday night. The sharing and prayer time at the beginning WILL NOT be recorded.

Walking thru the 6 books listed above means traveling through a total of 133 chapters. Assuming a weekly meeting and a chapter per week, this journey will take us at least ~2.5 years. It is my prayer and my intention that at the end of that time, we will all have a much deeper understanding of God's Word and a much closer relationship with our Savior and our LORD, Jesus, the Christ.
