Tiered Movements
The Resilient Movement series is a group workout class that is created based on scientific research of Grit and exercise behaviors for mental health. This series is brought to you by RESI.fit (under the umbrella of Resilient Visuals). We aim to meet you where you currently are, which is why we offer tiered movements, that help you master the movements at your current abilities so you may begin progressing towards the next level of movements. Each Tiered movement will be shown at the beginning of workout, or whenever a new movement is introduced. Also, yes we will have the ropes! There will be equipment for 5 groups total.
Tiers:
0 - rehabilitation
1 - modification
2 - basic movement
3 - advanced movement
4 - challenge movement
About Your Coach:
Kelse Matthews has a Masters of Science in Educational Psychology from the University of Memphis where she has researched the Grit method on exercise behaviors. This series will implement the Grit method to simultaneously improve your physical health, mental health and lifestyle. Kelse is an expert in mobility and an ISSA certified personal trainer. She has also received the accredited Flexologist certification.
Purpose:
A group fitness program that focuses on more than just exercising. A way to enjoy the fun, energizing vibes of a group workout class, while actively improving all areas of your life by tracking your progress in daily check-ins, creating SMART goals, holding yourself and your peers accountable for working towards your goals, while creating a community of support. We meet the participants where they are at in their fitness journey and provide different levels with levels for advancement during their journey.
Goal:
To increase your grit levels, over all wellbeing in your daily life, and to elevate you to the next tier in the program.
Communication:
All communication will be sent via the Bands app. A link to join will be sent via email before the beginning of the series. Emails will be sent with the broad general information.
Weather:
Questionable weather- Sessions decisions will be officially announced 1 hour before the start of the session. If you have any questions, please post in the Bands app.
Light rain - I will be present and leading the session. Activities will be amended accordingly.
Severe Thunderstorm/Tornado/Flood/Earthquake/Natural disaster Warning/Watch, etc. class will be rescheduled for safety reasons.
