The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

St. Paul Lutheran Church and First Church of Christ Old Saybrook invite you to a special worship service for those who have experienced loss in any form and at any time. We will remember those whom we have loved, and give thanks for the memories that bind them to us in this season of expectation, when all creation waits for the Light. Pastor Nathan and Pastor Jeff will lead you in prayer and mediation, a candle lighting and an opportunity to feel God’s healing presence. In this service, you are offered a time and place of solace during the often frenetic days surrounding the celebration of Christmas. On this darkest day of the year, we come with all our feelings seeking the return of light and hope.
