“Controlled Chaos” From Ink to Watercolor Art Demo with Jessica Daigle

In this art demo, Jessica will be demonstrating two approaches to stippling as a way to build texture, depth, and atmosphere in illustration. First, she’ll show the traditional stippling method using ink, where controlled dots create tonal values and fine detail on dura-lar film. Then, she’ll transition into a dry-brush stippling technique with watercolor, a method especially effective for conveying the patina of age, weathered surfaces, or when working with watercolor pigments that don’t stain as easily on paper. Together, these techniques offer a versatile toolkit for artists who want to evoke mood, history, and subtle texture in their work.

The demo is free, but RSVPs are recommended.
