About the event

Ghost Railroads of Franklin County
All are invited to the Annual Picnic for the Franklin County Historical Society where we will hear about the "Ghost Railroads of Franklin County".

This will be a covered-dish dinner event on Monday evening, July 21st, 5 p.m. in the Huntland Community Center, 100 Moore Lane, Huntland, Tennessee.

Our speaker will be Mark Hillgartner, President of the North Alabama Railroad Museum. The main topic will be the former Winchester and Alabama Railroad. This year marks the 40th year since the tracks were taken out of service and removed.

This will be an indoor and air conditioned event. We encourage you to bring a favorite dish to share and enjoy with others.
