Excitement is in the air! Get ready to be part of something extraordinary, it's the Central Adirondack Association's 1st Inaugural 🛥️ Knot Your Average Boat Parade!
Get ready to set sail for an on-the-water celebration in Old Forge, NY! This unique event invites you to turn your boat into a floating masterpiece. Pick any theme, gather your crew of friends and family, and bring your boat to life with decorations, costumes, and creativity galore. From pirates to princesses, disco balls to dinosaurs — if you can dream it, you can float it!
How it Works:
Participants will gather on First Lake just before the channel entrance at 1:20 — look for the boat flying the CAA banner. From there, the parade will begin, cruising through the First Lake Channel starting down the channel at 1:45 into the Old Forge Pond, where the main audience will be gathered near the Navigation Docks. This is also where our MC and judging boat will be stationed — so bring your A-game!
🧭 Parade Route:
Start at First Lake (gather before the channel) at 1:20
Enter the channel toward Old Forge Pond follow CAA Guide boat through the channel at 1:45
Enter into the Old Forge pond around 2:00 and circle the Pond - Stay in the line up - Cruise past the Navigation Docks where judging and the crowd will be located
This is a family-friendly event, so we kindly ask that all decorations and themes remain appropriate for all ages. Please, no political messaging or symbols.
