Introduction to Wood & Brass Restoration
This 3-hour beginner course introduces participants to the fundamentals of repair and preservation of wood and metal antiques, with an emphasis on reinforcing, strengthening, cleaning, and polishing—rather than stripping or fully refinishing pieces.
Participants will:
• Learn proper restoration principles and techniques
• Understand when to preserve vs. refinish
• Begin the restoration process on one small to medium item brought from home
• Gain hands-on experience using professional tools and materials
What to Bring:
Each participant should bring one small to medium item for restoration. The item must be easily carried by one person.
Materials:
Restoration projects, tools, and supplies will be provided. The cost of using these materials is included in the course fee.

• Session 1: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Session 2: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
