All ages. There will also be a group of teens attending aged generally between 11-18

All of these things are in the enclosed space of the youth centre, but please be aware that the gate at the side of the outdoor space is left open for the nursery.

GIFTING TABLE
We have a gifting table. Any good clean items you want to get rid of, please bring and put it on our 'Gifting table'. You will need to take back anything that doesn't get taken by others.
SENSORY INFOMRATION
The Building
It's set in a youth centre, up some stairs. It has that typical youth centre feel, white & bright coloured walls. The lighting is fluorescent ceiling light.
It's about the size of two small cafes I would say. The space It is long and narrowish. It has a open plan kitchen, breakfast bar with stools, pool table, table tennis, air hockey, foosball table, 2 x comfy seating area, board game corner. There are a small set of stairs to the girls toilets. No stairs to the boys toilets. There is a large disabled toilet. Screens are dotted around but we don't use them. The floor if lino with a small area of carpet.
Outdoor space
It is above a cafe, which you walk passed to get to us. There is a large outdoor space. Which includes a small park, basketball and tennis courts and a field. There is a small road which leads to the carpark, which needs to be crossed, to access the field and park.
Temperature
On warm days we open the doors, so air can flow through. There are two doors that lead out to the outdoor spaces. Heating is on when it's cold. We try to get the balance right as much as is in our control to do so.
Numbers & Noise
The number of people vary from week to week. The older youth come and go out of the centre, so it has moments of quiet and moments of loudness. It can also be loud if it's a wet day and all the young people are indoors so ear defenders/headphones could be useful. Sometimes there's quiet background music playing.
It can be a busy space in terms of young people being actively involved in their games/activities but there are calmer seating areas.
Smells
People do cook/eat lunch so there could be a variety of smells and food being consumed.
For the most part the young people attending are inclusive and take the needs of others into consideration, so if something is a particular challenge to a child they would be open to working together to make the space accessible.
