WHAT TO PREPARE/BRING:
– Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Audition sides are available by clicking HERE. The director is looking for good comedic timing, strong character choices, connection with onstage partner(s), and an understanding of the heightened stakes inherent in farce.
– Please bring a copy of your resume and current headshot if available, along with ALL conflicts from September 29th – November 16th, 2025. If you do not have a headshot or resume, please do not let that stop you from auditioning!
– Although this is NOT a musical, three characters do sing briefly during the show. Those auditioning for the roles of Claudia, Athena, and Mrs. Osgood may be asked to sing “Happy Birthday” or another song a cappella; there is no need to prepare a song or bring sheet music.
ABOUT THE SHOW
It’s 1942, and two of Hollywood’s biggest divas have descended upon the luxurious Palm Beach Royale Hotel – assistants, luggage, and a legendary feud with one another in tow. Everything is in order for their wartime benefit performance … that is, until they are somehow assigned to the same suite. Mistaken identities, overblown egos, double entendres, and a lap dog named Mr. Boodles round out this hilarious riot of a love note to the classic farces of the 30s and 40s.
