Want to feel more confident about sorting your waste? Join us for a free, hands-on Green Living Workshop and discover how easy it is to sort smarter and waste less. With the shift to biweekly garbage collection, it’s more important than ever to make the most of your green, blue, and black carts. The Okotoks Residential Waste Audit revealed that nearly two-thirds of what ends up in black carts could be composted, recycled, or dropped off at the Eco Centre!
At this interactive workshop, you’ll get practical tips and see real-life examples to help you confidently sort your waste, reduce contamination, and prevent overflowing carts. Our Environmental Specialist and Conservation Educators will guide you through the ins and outs of waste diversion, answer your questions, and share simple strategies for everyday success.
This event is open to all ages! Light refreshments will be provided, as well as waste-themed activities for younger children. Bring your questions, curiosity, and let’s work together to create a cleaner, greener Okotoks!
This event is FREE, however pre-registration required. Don't miss this opportunity to get the answers and support you need!
