Chris Welch is a southern gothic folk songwriter from Denton TX, writing songs with Pinebox Serenade and many others. Chris has been releasing records and touring the US for the last 20 years, and touring Europe with Pinebox Serenade in 2022 . His songwriting is inspired by writers like Flannery O'Connor, Larry Brown, Cormac McCarthy and Harry Crews, as much as songwriters, like Leonard Cohen, Mark Lanegan, Roky Erickson and Richard Buckner. Dark stories told with a deep baritone voice.
