Blessing of the Backpacks

As a new school year begins, we invite all students—preschool through college—to bring their backpacks to church for a special blessing during worship. Educators, school staff, and administrators are also encouraged to attend and receive a blessing and prayer for the year ahead. Each child will receive a small gift as a reminder of God’s love and presence throughout the school year. Let’s send our students and teachers back to school wrapped in prayer and surrounded by community!
