The Cornell PTO is happy to bring back classroom raffle baskets during Family Fun Night! Join us Friday, May 16, from 6-8pm, with a rain date of Monday, May 19.
Each classroom has a theme for their basket, and families are asked to donate a themed item or items to include.
For example, if your theme was “grilling,” we’ve had contributions ranging from cookbooks, utensils, drink bins, and thermometers to a bottle of ketchup, seasonings, and napkins. Donations do not need to be fancy! Participate in whatever way works for your family.
Teachers will email with your child’s classroom theme, and themes are posted online. Proceeds from the raffle benefit Cornell PTO. For more info about what programs we fund, check out

After the items are collected, they will be dressed up in a basket, displayed outside, and raffled off! The PTO will sell raffle tickets to families who can then drop their tickets into whichever bucket looks most enticing. At the end of the night, the family holding the winning ticket from each bucket will leave with their basket. Families must be present at 7:30pm with the winning ticket to claim their prize. If you have to leave early, be sure to ask a friend for help! We’re continuing our online pre-purchase program.
Donated items should be brought to your child’s classroom teacher and will be collected from May 5-15. Find donation ideas and themes for each classroom on our website at cornellpto.org. Thank you!
Kids running Mileage Club will be happy to hear they have 1 extra hour to run and earn toe tokens and a water bottle! Tokens and water bottles earned on 5/16 during FFN will be passed out at school the following week to avoid long lines and confusion. Parents who have been helping scan – THANK YOU!!
Again this year we've had a generous sponsorship for our Mileage Club program, and we want to give a huge shout out to the Klug Law Firm for not only covering the cost of running mileage club, but putting the extra funds towards our obstacle course this year! Be sure to thank Jeff Klug and remember them when you need representation!
Global Village has so generously donated their time and talent to us from 6:30-7:30pm during Family Fun Night, so be sure to thank them and ask them when and where you can see them again! When they stop playing, you’ll know it’s time to pull raffle winners!
The popcorn at FFN will be offered for free as well as water bottles. We'll have a coupon sent home this week Friday, May 9, that will offer a $4 discount towards any of the available food trucks. We thought it was successful last year, so we're doing it again! Teachers and staff only need their badges.
