J. Krishnamurti explored the nature of sorrow, emphasizing that it arises from attachment and the self-centered mind. He suggested that by fully experiencing sorrow without resistance, one can transcend it and discover a deeper passion and love. For instance, he stated, "Out of sorrow comes passion."

In this silent retreat, we will explore the theme of sorrow in our lives through interaction with Krishnamurti’s teachings, such as audio and video, as well as periods of silent sitting. Weather permitting, there will also be a silent hike. Please join us at the beautiful Krishnamurti Center for a life-changing retreat. Spend time in nature, have delicious vegetarian meals, and most of all meet yourself in regards to this universal and timeless theme, on sorrow.

Facilitator Rowan Lommel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Yoga Therapist living in Ojai California. She grew up in the Krishnamurti schools, and has been working on and off for the Krishnamurti Foundation since she was a teenager.
