Violets Ridge Prairie Hike, Boone County

Do you like history? Do you love nature? How about prairies? What about newly discovered remnant prairies? Come on out and join the Iowa Prairie Network in a prairie hike on the trails of Violets Ridge in Boone County, Iowa.

The hike will take place on Saturday, May 2nd at 1:00:00 PM with Boone County Naturalist Kyle Neuendorf.

Violets Ridge is located within Don Williams Recreational Area at 610 H Ave, Ogden, IA 50212. Follow the red signs that will lead you to the Ronald Good Shelter and the parking lot.

Kyle has great knowledge of ecology and environmental education. He is very passionate about Iowa’s wildness and would love to guide you on a hike.

This event is FREE to attend and is for ALL AGES.

Participants come dressed for the conditions, wear long pants, closed toed shoes, and bring a bottle of water.
