Site Opens: 8:00am
Gate Opens: 9:00am
Opening Court: 10:00am or at their Excellencies leisure
Closing Court: 3:00pm or at their Excellencies leisure
Site Closes: 4:00pm
COMBAT SCENARIOS:
This year will have Armored, Rapier, and Cut & Thrust! Fighting will commence in two phases.
Phase 1: Fighters will be randomly sorted into pools of 3, 4, or 5 depending on the turnout, which will then be considered a team. Each team will fight a round robin to determine the team “captain”.
Phase 2: Teams will face off in a single elimination bracket-style team tournament to determine who will be the champions of Summergate!
COMBAT SPECIFICATIONS: All weapon and defensive combinations will be allowed, as long as fighters are authorized in that style. Please bring your signed fighter-card or you may not be able to compete.
BARDIC: Calling all bards! For this year’s annual bardic competition we request that competitors prepare a song or tale featuring a period beast either real or imaginary.
YOUTH COMBAT: This year we are fortunate to be hosting youth combat! Immediately after opening court there will be a short youth combat tournament to kick off the day’s events.
HYPE-HERALD COMPETITION: Returning for year three is our hype-herald competition! We are looking for ambitious competitors to help herald our fighters into eriks. The most entertaining field herald shall be named the Hype-Herald of Summergate and will win a fabulous favor for the year! No prior experience necessary.
EVENT REGISTRATION: Gate is free, but we appreciate any donations you're willing to make to our Canton.
LUNCH: This year’s lunch will be provided by the Inept Engineers! Menu TBD, Suggested donation: $10

DIRECTIONS:
From the 78 either direction: Take exit 2 onto El Camino Real going North. Drive until Oceanside Blvd and then turn left. Continue until S Barnwell St. and turn right. The park will be at the top of the hill on your right.
From the 5 Northbound: Take exit 52 onto Oceanside Blvd and turn left onto Oceanside Blvd. Continue until S Barnwell St. and turn left. The park will be at the top of the hill on your right.
From the 5 Southbound: Take exit 53 onto Mission Ave and turn left on Mission Ave. Continue until Mesa Dr and turn right. Turn left onto N Barnwell St and the park will be on your right.
