Saturday, March 7th, 2026 the Shire of Carreg Wen’s King’s Hunt will be in Nojoqui Falls Park, Site# C. The tree studded park is located at 3250 South Alisal Road, Solvang.
The park opens at 8am and shire members will arrive there to open the Coffee Bar and treats. Opening court is at 10 am followed by heavy fighting scenarios. The event ends at 3pm, the park is open till 5pm. Rapier will happen if there is a Marshall.
The site is dry. Pets on a leash are welcomed, but not horses. This will be the first year that the trail to Nojoqui Falls is open all the way to the very famous water fall, in a very long time. There will be a verity of board and picnic games. Bring your picnic lunch. In keeping with pre 1600’s, the site does not have reliable wifi or cell service. The trip into town is longer than it looks.

Adult Event Registration: $15.00. Adult Member Discount Event Registration $10.00. Children under the age of 18 are guest of the Shire of Carreg Wen. Make checks payable to SCA Inc. Shire of Carreg Wenn, cash is also accepted.

From the South make your best way to US 101 North through Santa Barbara and beyond. After you pass through the Gaviota tunnel, you will come to a long uphill grade where the highway widens to three lanes. At the top of that grade is the county road that Google will try to put you on. DON’T TAKE IT! Continue down the hill till you see the for Nojoqui Falls park and take the next right. Turn left on Alisal Road. After a few miles the park will be on the right.
